Bishop Nebab’s Message for GA 2011

OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE BISHOP/PRESIDENT

M E S S A G E

Greetings of peace and grace to all. Welcome to our 51st CAMACOP General Assembly here at La Trinidad, Benguet, the strawberry capital of the Philippines.

I know that everyone is happy to be here at another historic General Assembly as we are celebrating 110 years of ministry of the North American C&MA here in the Philippines. Our theme, Jesus Only: The Same Yesterday, Today and Forever, helps us to celebrate in this assembly our very existence, that is, in Christ alone. The founder of the C&MA, Dr. Albert B. Simpson, has made the missionary organization Christo-centric because of his personal encounter with the living Christ. This led to the writing of some hymns that are centered on Christ, namely, like “Jesus Only,” “Himself,” “Yesterday, Today and Forever.”

As the Alliance in the Philippines, let us let us continue to make Christ number one in our denomination. We must make the CAMACOP a Christ-centered denomination in the coming years until Christ Himself, the Lord of the harvest, returns. It is my hope that in this assembly we all will be reminded to make Jesus Christ our only God and Saviour.

I, therefore, encourage all delegates in this assembly to make use of their time to make new friends, renew acquaintances, listen to God’s word, and above all, to worship and honour our God, who has been faithful throughout the seasons of life.

May this assembly be a time of refreshing for everyone as we together enjoy the glorious presence of the Lord. Blessings to all of you in the name of our loving and merciful God.

Your co-servant in the Lord,

Bishop Reniel Joel A. Nebab
CAMACOP President
